Always check the rules and the paytable of the specific Double Jackpot Video Poker machine on which you wish to play. This includes checking if the deck has any jokers or other wild cards.

Double or Nothing

The double or nothing game within Double Jackpot video poker is not mandatory. When you have a win that makes you eligible for the double or nothing game, you can elect to refrain from playing the double or nothing game and simply keep your win as it is.

Exactly how the double or nothing game is carried out varies, but many Double Jackpot video poker machines will deal one card face up from a deck of 52 cards (no jokers or wild cards are used) and then another four cards face down from the same deck. Your task is to pick one of the four face down cards. This card will then be turned over. If the card you picked is of higher rank than initial face-up card, you have doubled your win. If it is lower, you have lost your win. If both cards are of the same rank, you keep your win but it will not be doubled.

On some Double Jackpot video poker machines you can keep on playing double or nothing with you win as long as you keep on winning, or until you hit the upper limit for that machine.
