Jackpot Deuces (progressive jackpot)
Jackpot Deuces is a video poker machine from Microgaming with a progressive jackpot. The progressive jackpot seeds at $5,000. The largest jackpot payout so far occurred on August 4, 2011, and amounted to $120,857.
According to a calculation carried out by The Wizard of Odds, the break-even point for the jackpot is just below $53,980. When the jackpot is larger than this, there is a (mathematically) positive expectation for the player.
Playing Microgaming’s Jackpot Deuces
Microgaming’s Jackpot Deuces video poker is played with a standard 52 card deck. No extra cards are added to the deck, but all deuces (2’s) are wild. A deuce can substitute for any other card in the deck to help you form a winning poker hand.
When you play Jackpot Deuces, deuces in the start hand are held automatically so it is not possible to accidentally discard them.
The requirements for getting any pay from this video poker game are comparatively high; the lowest paying hand is Three of a Kind. If you are used to playing Jacks or Better or any other type of video poker where you get paid for High Pair and Two Pairs, it is important to adjust your strategy when you switch over to Jackpot Deuces.
Jackpot Deuces Progressive Jackpot
If you get a Royal Straight Flush in DIAMONDS on a 5 coin bet, you are awarded the progressive jackpot – provided that the Royal Straight Flush does not contain any deuce. Only a natural (i.e. wild card free) Royal Straight Flush in diamonds will trigger a jackpot payout.
You can only win the progressive jackpot on a 5 coin bet. If you get a Royal Straight Flush in diamonds on a bet of 4 coins or less, you only get a fixed regular Royal Straight Flush payout.
When the progressive jackpot has been won, it doesn’t go down to zero. Instead, it starts anew at $5,000. This way, there is always money in the jackpot.
On average, the progressive jackpot pays out every 3 weeks and 20 days. The average payout is $32 671.
