Saratoga Gaming and Raceway Video Poker Games

Video poker players enjoy the game because it's a game of skill, and the decisions players make when they decide which cards to keep and which cards they throw away plays a large role in the expected payback percentage of a video poker machine. That's true of most video poker machines anyway, but the video poker machines at the Saratoga Gaming and Raceway deal hands with predetermined wins and losses. In other words, these "video poker games" are really just slot machines that look like video poker games. (Slotland is an online casino which offers the same kind of pseudo video poker games.)

The games at the Saratoga Gaming and Raceway are run by the state lottery commission. I'm sure they justify the misleading video poker games by saying that the proceeds benefit education. And as the Christians like to say, it's no sin to take money from sinners.
