Jacks or Better Video Poker Pay Tables
We've
included the pay table for a 9/6 Jacks or Better video poker
game on this page. Jacks or Better games which are not full pay
are not included, because the table would look virtually the
same. The only difference would be the amount paid for wins on a
full house or a flush. For instance, an 8/5 machine would be the
same except for an 8 on the full house and a 5 on a winning
flush on the one-coin bet. And a 7/5 Jacks or Better pay table
would pay out a 7 for a full house and a 5 on a flush.
These Jacks or Better video poker pay tables include all of
the hand ranks which pay, laid out according to the number of
coins bet.

This is a pay chart for a classic 9/6 Jacks or Better video
poker machines. It's called 9/6 because that's the payout on a 1
coin bet for a full house and flush, respectively. If you hear
about an 8/5 machine, the payout is 8 for a full house and a 5
for a flush. Unfortunately, the 8/5 and 7/5 versions of Jacks or
Better are a lot more commonly found than 9/6 Jacks or Better.
If you've read any video poker advice on the Internet, it
will tell you to play the maximum coins. One look at the 5-coin
bets on this pay table will tell you why. A 4-coin bet royal
flush pays off at 1,000 to 1, while a 5-coin bet royal flush
pays off at 4,000 to 1. All other bets remain the same
proportion from one size coin bet to another.

The quick lesson is to pay on a 9/6 Jacks or Better machine.
These are called the full pay machines, so if you come across
this term in the future, you'll know what you're looking for.
Just one look at the payout percentages is enough to let you
know why you need to be selective in the machines you play.
To find a full pay machine, just look for the payouts on full
houses and flushes. Look for the 9x and the 6x on these lines.
If you don't find those numbers, move on. At the very least,
make sure not to play 7/5 or 6/5 machines, but the real
difference is between 9/6 machines and all the others.
